Other than a chip in the shoulder abutment this plane is fine. 18th century bench planes are very rare as unlike moulders they were simply used up. ohn Lindenberger, born 1754, served in the American Revolutionary War and was present at the battles of Brandywine, Germantown, Trenton, and Princeton. He made planes in Providence circa 1786 until his death in 1817.
