Very good condition other than the usual cracked arm shoulders. The Wrentham mark is still visible, but the rest is too faint. Francis NICHOLSON (circa 1683-1753) was the earliest documented plane maker in the USA. Working in Wrentham, MA. When he died, he left most of his tools to his plane maker son, John. To his slave, plane maker Cesar CHELOR, he left tools, land, and his freedom.
