Dated 1976. Numbered "43" Rosewood Infill . 10 1/2 inches long. 12 degree bed angle. 2 1/2 inch iron. Six pounds. Registered production model. The HENLEY OPTICAL Co. We have acquired 10 Henley planes, formerly of a prominent Athens, Ga. collection.
Of the ten planes, eight are heretofore unknown to exist. We believe the Georgia collector commissioned these planes or simply
bought the Henley prototypes. Henley is known to have kept one of each of their planes for posterity and some of these are
marked with a number 2. The planes are mechanically 100% with zero wear but have light discolorations all over. Every single plane
except the smoother is a bevel up design with a razor slit for a mouth. You will never see finer. All have silky smooth Norris
type adjusters.
