Very fine mouth. Original Ward iron. 3 3/4 x 1 inch. Stewart Spiers (b. 1820-d. 1899) perhaps the finest plane maker that ever existed. His planes were not only the best in quality of construction but also aesthetically pleasing. The Spiers firm operated from 1840-1936.
