John Sleeper b. 1754 was in the Battle of Bunker Hill. He worked in Newburyport, Mass and was one of the most prolific 18th C plane makers. The plane is beech. It has a vertically grained, pinned beech tote and a lignum vitae diamond strike button. It's 13 5/16" long. 2 3/8" wide. Barely used and as clean as they come.
