Perhaps the finest TOWELL we have ever encountered. Where most of his planes are not marked, this one is clearly marked. The original rosewood is in fine condition. The mouth is a mere slit. The plane is just under 10 inches long and has its original 1 7/8 wide WARD iron. No rust, pitting, or damage of any kind. This example has a thicker sole and sides than most examples. And therefore weighs nearly 5 pounds.
